Does anyone know how to get Postal 2 working under Windows Vista 32-bit? I ran the install program under XP compatibility mode, then when it came to the bit where it asks to reboot, it just told me..

"This application can be launched with a release version of Windows 95/98/ME/XP" etc.

Thing is, I'm sure I had it working under Vista before now, but that was a while ago and I can't remember how?
I've tried screwing about with the compatibility mode thing, it just doesn't want to know.

Would somebody please help me? I really want to play this game again and others say they have run it under Vista no problem.


My system specs:

AMD Athlon Dual-Core 4600+
3 Gb RAM (4 Gb if it would recognise it.)
Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS, 1440 x 960 Desktop res.
Windoiws Vista Home premium 32-bit.

not sure what's wrong there but with vista 32 home basic,i just ran the installer it installed then played

but i did have UaC turned off (user account control)

have you tried the free mp vertion? could be your copy is broke and not installing properly
