hi! i'm talking about, that if you have some stuff in your map, that you made yourself(Sound's,music, texture and so on), then pepole needs to get a lot of files to install before they can play your map. But i have seen a lot of map's where your only need is to install the mapfile itself.

By the way. With the mapfile i meen the: mpDGT-?????.fuk file... :)

just import all the stuff into ued and give "myLevel" as packagename.
then it will be saved in the mapfile.

So lets talk about the "MyLevel"
How we use it And why .
1 I use the my level so i can add stuff to my map,,with out useing a usx or utx pac
so peple do not know where to put the usx and so on .
2 it dose slow the loading of the map
3 if you have alot of stuff you should make a utx or usx for it

Yes my Level and static mesh import..
I tryed it once Had my mesh in the level ...
deleted it cos it was in the wrong place ...
 I could not find how you got to find it again.
Do you need to wright down the file name or something and put the name in the display property of another mesh to get it back or somthing?

Maybe an sc of each button and menu, then a brief discription of what it does (you might want to just put that on the editor site)

... That is a very good idea, Beast ...

Would it help to have the "Context Sensitive Help" button do something, also?
And does anyone know somebody at RWS?
They might be the ones to contact for PostEd information like this?

Oh sure... The RWS site has some very fine web pages and links, like this one.

POSTAL 2 Editor and Mod Help

But, opening and searching through all of those pages for one answer, especially when you are really trying to finish something, can become a really big nuisance for us, beginners. :(

And, if their "Context Sensitive Help" files or files are simple text-files, that we can modify, then maybe the Postal mapping-masters could add some needed comments for us, newbies? (And then converting it to German or another language might be a great idea for a lot a whole new world of Postal-mappers?) B)
