You can do this through the editor.
And, of course, if not already done, more playerstarts, so everyone gets his "own" one.
And then, you just need to add bots through the options menu when you set up your little server and play.
I dont know about any console commands, doubt there are some for bots.
If you got more questions, go for it

Nah dude, you just pace them with the editor. ( /Postal2STP/System/ folder, 'PostED.exe') Its a easy peasy right click somewhere on the ground and a click on "Add pathnode here" or something like that. It can be a gay work place pathnodes here and there, but thats how it works in this engine.
After you did this, dont forget to do a rebuild of the map.
If you really want to do this, which is not a hard thing to learn, i make you some screenshots of what you need to know if you want to do this.
And no, there are no 3rd party bots, niether a tutorial of placing path nodes, because well, its just a two clicks job more or less.
And since the pathnodes get placed with the editor in the specific map, there is no downloadable pathnode stuff.
Hope that gets you forward, must be annoying surfing around the web with 56k

Aye, will do sir.
Oh, yea i should have used another word, sorry about that.
See it more like a new "rendering" of the whole stuff all in one.
If you, for example build a house, the geometry needs a rebuild, or lets call it "a new compile".
Same with lights, then you need to compile the light new and it will get rendered proper.
But oh well, i dont want to confuse you more and more haha.
And i really like that you talk about permissions, you see rarely so far thinking people.
I have to admit, nothing more pisses me off as a mapper myself, when i see other people change existing and good maps on a very cheap ass way, and take all the credit for it without mentioning the actual author of the map haha.
But you dont need to worry about that, you not planning on changing all the stuff, in your case you are even improving it
And if you dont release it as your map, like mention the author and what you have changed, its not a big problem, i for one would be happy if someone decides to put in pathnodes in one of my maps
Just gimme a few seconds to make the screenshots!

First of all, dont get too confused about all these pathnodes in this map of me, its a bit overdone lol, you really dont need that much, especialy not for bots lol.
Also this is the mod eternal damnation, so dont mind the name of the editor.
I think you've heard from it, but my guess would be, over 1 gb of download is a bit too much for 56k
If you would live in germany i would gladly send a copy of it over to you per mail :\
So here they are:
This is how a pathnode in the map looks like, or more likely the actor of it.

Right click on the ground, as shown here:

To be honest, i dont know if its really necessary to do this, but after you placed two, make a right click on the one you placed before and click:

And here three features you should know of:

I hope i didnt forgot anything
