Ok so I was playing Postal 2 and I've had it for over a year and until now, I was sorta curious about the POSTed that came with Postal 2 STP eversince downloading custom single player maps and I noticed the creators uses his/her own pictures within the game. Now someone already covered that story for me and I found it quite easily to do but now I'm asking another similar question here which is since I'm a newbie and well, not really wanting to do like 'blow your mind away' maps but just do simple things for the fun of it and that is, how do you put a picture on a wall that looks like a poster rather than the picture covering the whole selected wall which that is happening to me. I may have missed the tuts on what I just said and sorry if this sounds like an everyday question but I'm still familiarizing myself with the terms here and there and I'm learning getting the hang of making a simple map with a simple room by doing some of the tuts in the Unreal Engine sites I found on the web. Thanks in advance.

You have to convert images that you want in the game to *.dds format in photshop, you've have to google dds photshop or something like that... once you have an image with working metrics you can import it, just follow the texture tutorial

Yes I already know how to convert them to .dds instead of using bitmaps alone but the thing is that I have a picture of a skull that I wanted to put on the wall and when I select that wall, all of it gets covered by a lot of skull pictures which really wasn't for what I was going. Maybe like have it put on the wall like a poster like size on it, now how is that done instead of covering the whole selected area? Sorry if this really sounds like 'are you for real?'.

Hello Postal Folks. . .
Does anyone have a sample gallery of picture frames and poster-boards, perhaps?
(And it sounds like Notes only needs P2STP stuff?)

And to Notes, do you need a simple map showing-off different sizes and shapes?
(AFAIK, you can simply add your .dds picture, as a texture, to any glass static-mesh object and then resize the mirror or scale your picture-texture to fit?)

And my cus-P2AW7-Doors_n_stuff041-P2-AW-AW7-Tn-Weaps.fuk sample map, at my GP-AM group, would be way too much trouble to join for only a small example of just one picture and its frame. Plus, you'd need AW and AW7, anyway.
(But my picture examples are very dangerous, btw.) B)

theres an easier way,see the box icons and stuff in PostED? there you will find one that says sheet (like a box but slimmer) use that and make a sheet align it to your wall and put the picture on it,this is how most do a poster :)

(Its funny, how these 3d worlds connect.) ;)
But while I was pushing for a better Thief's Highway in "Thief: Deadly Shadows" or T3, I ran into this nifty little .dds conversion program that let me modify their ingame map-textures as nice and tight 24-bit BMPs and back again to .dds format, but with only using my "Paint Shop Pro 4.12" for the BMP changes. :)

DDS Converter (2.1) (Use that page for info.)
And use this FTP page to get away from downloading hassles.
(A location for that "dds_converter_v21.exe")

And I hope that it can help some of our texture-only modifying folks? B)

And to complete this idea, here's a really fast dds viewer.
WTV Windows Texture Viewer v0.69b
