I hope to think there more Linux than Mac users out there, so hopefully this will help those Linux users out there.

It took a bit to get working but here are the settings to get AW7 to work under Linux:

---------------

These instructions assume that all files are located in their default
locations. You will have to adjust if you drifted from the default.

Get this file:

http://webpages.char.../Postal2AW7.ini

and replace the existing file in:
/usr/local/games/postal2/ApocalypseWeekend/System

Put this file:
http://webpages.char...ombr/postal2aw7
in /usr/local/bin
and ensure it is executable by user, group, or other ownership
(i.e. chmod 755 /usr/local/bin/postal2aw7).

Remove the file (if it exists):
$HOME/.lgp/postal2/System/Postal2AW7.ini
where $HOME is the home directory of the user that wants to run AW7.

and run the game with postal2aw7 command located in /usr/local/bin.

All problems with the linux instructions can be sent to: kgroombr@charter.net

If possible, I would like to see these files and instructions included in the next version of AW7.

I never could get AW7 to work until somebody posted a fix for the Mac. I used information from that, and a little tweaking to get it to run on Linux.

I really have to give 95% of the credit to the person that did this for the Mac since it was that information that made AW7 possible for Linux.

the only distribtion (shit did i wrote that right? XD) you can actually buy is Suse, but you can still download it totaly legal, because gnu/linux stuff is always open source.
