Hi
I just installed Postal2 on my new system and although I would have never expected this, it seems my pc way too fast for this game
I know theres tools for this but I thought maybe theres another way around this. Some settings I can adjust in the .ini to change this?
My system:
amd 64 x2 3800
geforce 7800 gtx
1024 ram
Thanks!

oh, of course not!
and of course some random fuckin idiot like you would know!
well I already figured it out (omg guess what! seems my pc WAS too fast after all because when assigning only one processor to the .exe it worked)
And just by the way, if the game-menu is shivering around with none of the items actually showing cos their moving too fast and im half way through the level after having moved forwards once, WHAT ELSE SHOULD BE THE FUCKIN PROBLEM??
that should give you more than enough to once more answer with having made absolutely no point at all!

Sorry I don't buy it. I have played postal on a pc that is more or less that powerfull and it was fine. Fuck in some places it needs a pc that powerfull lol! I'd say it was much more likey a driver/set up issue you have. Do you have any other game on the unreal engine you can test too?
And BTW the oagh made a joke don't be such a bitch about it. Fuck we would all love a dual Amd, I just have to live with my single 3700, but I think that gives me the second biggest dick in here so far!

I was merely doing the very same thing.
I honestly thought my pc was simply too fast but now I don't know what to think anymore. I was foolish to believe assigning only one processor would help although it actually did first (and still does with king kong btw)
I tried tools like cpugrab and the more cpu I "grabbed" the better postal seemed to run, but it never actually got to the point where it could be considered fun.
And the weirdest thing is although the game is running fast as hell the memory usage is at like 300.000 to 400.000 K
I dont know what the fucks going on anymore
I will fire up lineage2 as soon as its done updating and will have a looksee

odd thing is, this is happening to me now. I've never had a problem with this until I updated my graphics card drivers for my nvidia 8800. i have a 2.4 quad core on xp and it never happened before that. game runs too quickly. the game loads ultra quickly and the back menu keeps spinning way faster than usual. not sure if reinstalling will fix it but I'm sure as hell getting this fixed somehow.
turns out postal 2 can't run well with multiple cpus. after loading the game, just alt tab out and get to the control alt delete menu. in the process list, right click postal 2 exe and go to set affinity. that'll show you how many cpu's are being used. just uncheck them all but one and your game should run fine. not sure if the amd will work the same way with the Pentiums but meh meh. worked for me. =)
