Melee weapon usefulness

I've got some good ideas for new melee weapons for Great Rampage but in AW the 1st category has already 6 melee weapons.

So... I was thinking in throwing some away... now... which ones?
Bah, everyone loved the machete, no doubt of that, so I'm not even including that on this list.

So... of these 5 melee weapons...

- shocker
- shovel
- police bat
- sledgehammer
- scythe

...can you list them by order of usefulness?

Like so
1 - "Can't leave home without it"
2 -
3 -
4 -
5 - "Take it off! TAKE IT OFF!!"

Possibly the 2 less useful weapons will be removed from the mod.

Oh and if it isn't too much trouble, could you explain a little of what your strategy is with those weapons?

Btw, this does not mean this mod is going to use AW, just it's weapons for now.

1 scythe - no explanation necessary
2 shocker - shock the bystanders, beat em down with the club and piss on them
3 billy club - same as aboth (i love the sound, when i hit someone with it) :lol:
4 shovel - yeah *dong* *dong* *dong*
5 sledgehammer - fucking boring

- The sledgehammer is my favorite zombie and mad cow weapon.
- The scythe is needed for some of RWS's new AW tricks and secrets, I believe?
- The shovel is nice and fast, but not really needed when the machete is available.
(It kind of looks like an AW melee weapon "take over", above, doesn't it?) ;)

- The police baton only seems good for the NPCs, who are NOT a real threat.
- And the shocker, combat wise, is RARELY used by me, if ever?

(Shame that we can't talk to RWS about secondary melee-key assignments... But Time and Common Sense might RULE the DAY with this old option, some day?) B)
