... The idea of expanding the "Postal Market" seems like a good one, to me.

So, I am very gradually talking about all of the very fine Postal total conversions and modifications on that main BloodRayne Community Board (And I even snuck-in the "postal 1 map remake", sort of.) :)

So, if anyone sees a decent "opening" at a BBS or a forum that might allow you to talk about any of the Postal games then simply "Let Loose the Dogs of War !!!"... Errr ??? I mean try to smoothly bring-in something about the Postal games that fits the message... Okay? B)

Heck... RWS simply providing that "PostEd editor" was a lot more then TRI ever did for their BloodRayne (1) game... So, maybe that is one of the reasons that I went to :goinpostal:

Also, a simplier PostEd or a better explained PostEd might be a good start?
(Having ".fuk" examples, of every general piece in a postal map, might make Postal map-making into more of a "cut and paste" operation, instead of the "stumble and fall" failure that it is, right now, for a lot of "completely novice" map-makers.)

I am very gradually creating ".fuk" files of your tutorials, here... But, remember that I am a "complete novice". :(

... Jim ... (aka: tiger and nada641054)
(Also I would like to have "Content Sensitive Help", in PostEd, for a million of my questions... But maybe I'm asking for too much?)

... This idea probably needs to go to RWS for a "Postal Halloween Hell Night" game with a subtitle like "Trick or Threat?"... (This is a repeat from another message.)

Having a special week or three-day weekend of Halloween activities, that do not quite turn-out as the Postal Guy would want them to, might create a slightly Gothic feeling that could become more like a world of Witch Craft, perhaps?

Oh, sure... Regular folks, party types, cops and normal trick-or-treaters would be filling the streets... But covens of magic and other dark powers, with mayhem and sacrifice on their mind, might really be ruling those nights?

Heck... The begotry against Witch Craft and Black Magic has not been even touched upon by the Postal series, as far as I know?

(And if some vampire-oriented folks LOVE gothic and magical stuff, then there it is another cross-over sales market for Postal!) B)

Valiad, on May 24 2005, 09:11 AM, said:

well if there's one thing that postal stands for.. it's the principal that EVERYONE should be killed equally

... Agreed !!!

But should the Postal Dude die exactly the same way, everytime? B)

Imagine, in this Postal "Halloween Hell Night" game, that you have a lot of interesting little covens or very special groups with certain "bad ass" to demonic attitudes... Now, imagine that when the Postal Dude goes down, that he doesn't die everytime.

Let us say that he just gets knocked-out and he awakens to some special "endings" that are done with some very simple CG movies for each group.

(ie: He could be simply thinking about his terrible situation and the group's characters could have their backs to the player, to say their lines, to save on lip-sync stuff.)

And all of this might provide several chances for RWS to say a lot of very funny stuff, while they would still be able to have enough special endings for their very own dark sense of "Postal humor".

(I would go into more details, but why ruin the game for you? B)

... How do we improve the current "Postal 2 Market" with what we have, right now?

This idea could start at getting the most new players with minimal PC systems having barely acceptable graphics and onboard-sound cards... And then this idea could almost end at a level where players have the very best PC system with the latest graphics and sound cards on the market !!!

(PS, I have one of those "barely acceptable" PC systems.) B)

But, for those with really nice systems, are there any special NPC postal 3D-objects with higher poly-counts or special settings for their much higher wants?

(RWS is pretty sharp with their "gearing down" for a larger market-share that needs less in PC system requirements... But, when they created their first "Postal 2 game", did they start with 3D-objects that have a much higher detail-level??? And are these objects still available to bump up their P2 game's qualities?)

And for the other side of this challenge...

What would you tell an owner, of a "barely acceptable" PC system, like me? B)

And what would you tell them, if they only wanted to use their onboard sound card?
