... You can get "physically stuck" in P2STP,
even with the postal2_sharethepain_patch1409 upgrade.
But I do have a "solution" that RWS gave me, in a "round about" way. ;)

And excuse me, while I tell you too much information... (PS, I will also cover adding some new "toggle keys" for Walk/Run and Stand/Duck, below.)

These ideas involve the use of cheats, by typing "sissy" (no quote marks) while in the console. (The console is found using your tilde-key "~" or your tab-key.)

Type "ghost", in the console mode, and then escape that console mode.
Then get out, of being trapped, by using your movement keys.
And then type "walk", in console, to get out of that ghost mode.

... Or you can do the stuff, below, once in your "Postal life-time"... :)
(And excuse me, again, while I am trying to solve a few more Postal issues, below.)

Right click your "User.ini" in your "C:\Program Files\Postal2STP\System" directory and then select "Open with" and then select "notepad" or any simple text editor.

And then edit these lines.

............................................................................................................
Aliases[31]=(Command="Toggle bRun",alias="WalkToggle")
Aliases[32]=(Command="Toggle bDuck",alias="DuckToggle")
Aliases[33]=(Command="walk|Button bRun|Button bDuck",alias="Normal")
............................................................................................................

... BTW,
That "WalkToggle" alias will toggle walking/running mode.
That "DuckToggle" alias will toggle standing/ducking mode.

And that "Normal" alias, above, gets you out of all of those ducking and walking modes... Plus, with its "walk" command, you will escape from the "ghost" cheat and the third-person-view, from the "behindview 1" cheat, also... PS, I found out that the "walk" command, above, also escapes from the Postal Guy's suicide mode.

... Now, add that "Normal" alias and the "ghost" cheat to your "User.ini" keys:

G=ghost

N=Normal

..............

... BTW, I have my new DuckToggle and WalkToggle aliases assigned like this:

Ctrl=DuckToggle

Shift=WalkToggle

.................

(And now, of course, save your updated "User.ini" file.)

... Jim ... (aka: tiger and nada64105)

*** I gave all of this stuff and more to that RWS Board ***
RWS Message Board » MODS » some small User.ini "mods"

(BTW, this is all repeated "User.ini" stuff from my "GP-AM Files > User.ini mods > Postal2STP User.ini mods" area from my link in my signature, below.)

Well, usually there should be a "You look like you are stuck" message on the top left corner then and after that you will get warped to a spot next to where you got stuck, with the message "There you go! Now stay outta that spot"...

PS: You're style of writing is hard to read for some reason, your excuse stuff and the capitalized words make my head hurt while reading.

While I were messing around with ghost mode 'n stuff, I found out that this will happen like everytime you get stuck without cheats, but when you cheated your way into an object, It will not happen so often... But it's funny, to stand inside of a soda machine, throw a cow head into it and then let 300 kittens die in there.. eh... haha

Hello SkillMaster.

I removed the excessive caps and adjusted things in my first message.
I use caps to try to make my message, a little less boring to read.
(So, does my message look any better, now?)

BTW, do language translation programs fail with excessive caps?

PS, did you find any use for those missing Postal2 functions of a "WalkToggle" and a "DuckToggle" alias ? ( I figured that since the simpliest of 3d games had these basic functions, that our Postal2 deserved them, also.)

Well, maybe it's just me, but I think it's better to read now...

Hmm, dunno if language translation programs fail with excessive caps, never tried, but I think it should be no problem at all to translate an all capitalized text.

For the game I dont really need them, Im more used to hold down a button to do it, cause I play some multiplayer games too and for me it's faster to get along with..

But I think it can be quite helpful for some people, who prefer the toggle stuff.

BTW, SkillMaster, I am inviting thousands of new folks from all of the WebRing groups, with that little link on my GP-AM Home Page.

So, maybe doing something as a totally optional "good for the many" and then, perhaps, for the "good of the Postal series", in general, might not be too bad of an idea, you know? ;)

(My God, it was difficult, for me, to not capitalize a few of those words, above.) B)

I think it's better to read without those, but maybe it's just me :unsure:

No, SKillMaster, you didn't say anything different...
(Nor, did you add anything "different".) B)

Postal masters give us your best ideas, here
