Ok, I opened up the side of my DELL and peed in it, after trying to no avail to use the PostED proggy to change the music in one of my maps... :sneaky: I have this one map that is cool as hell, but someone put a ghey background song on it, and I want to replace it.

If there is a tutorial on this, WORD... I can read instrucitons.....But I did a search on the two postal 2 forums I could find and the search engine didnt return any usefull hits.

Can somone help a brudder out?

Thanks

Well, for being like that you actually don't deseve getting help.

No "please" at all!

But anyway, due the fact we're no dickheads:

Somewhere in the map has to be a sound "thing" which looks like two speakerboxes...
Go to its propertys and change the ogg to the one you want...

I think that's it, but Im not that used to Uedit, so there might be other solutions as well...

I'm a dickhead!
I also know nothing of which you speak of, and cannot help you. Though even if I did, I just may not anyways, on account of being a dickhead and all.

Does no one read the FAQs in here anymore? ? ? ?

Look if you want a good tutorial on audio manipulation in PostEd, check here:

Http:www.postalnetwork.org/PE/Tutorials/index.php

Also, for a general listing of files, and their functions check here:

Http:www.Postalfiles.net/help/ED/index.htm

We don't have time to be helping out n00bs all the time dammit, there's pr0n to find

Yes, we don't have time. We're too busy doing absolutely nothing else at all.

Well thanks for helping :D and Please. I really meant no bad intentions..i was just dickn' around...so that makes me the dickhead :D

I went thru some of the tutorials but I guess I missed what I was looking for. So I'll again add to my obvious stupidity....ok here goes

If I have a map that someone already designed, I take it I should add a soundbox somewhere in the map, so i'll try that. I absolutely have no idea how to use posteD, but i'll figure it out. I did find the offending .ogg file in the editior, just wasnt a easy way to replace the file, except delete it and put a new on in. Im assuming id have to complie it as well, unless the postED editor does it for me. Im an Autocad user, so im used to clugy menu times in the first place. I think I got a basic handle on some stuff though.

Oh, and there was no FAQ that I found easily, and the whole point of having a FAQ was to be easily found and to help the new people. Maybe im just mistaken on that one though. And the search function didnt help either. Its not like I didnt try not to be n0n-n00bish...I hate fuckers who post on forums who post stupid questions like the next guy. But I actually have to be a noob before I can be anything else right? .... anyways... feel free to pee on me now. :goinpostal:

snoopdan: You do realize that this is a semi-dead forum. I'm suprised that you got a reply at all.
