light effects not working?...

I'm new to P2 editing but I have used the original Unreal editor before. I can't seem to get the light effects to work.
Light types work OK, but when I set a light effect I get no result,even after rebuilding. Maybe I'm just forgetting something. Any ideas?

you mean stuff like "flicker" !?!
doesnt it even work in-game?

ll the light types work. It's the light effects that I can't get to work. LE_TorchWaver,LE_FireWaver etc.  I've tried them on bsp and meshes with no effect,even after rebuilding and everything. I guess I'll go read some tuts :) If anyone knows
anything about it,please reply.

I'm having a similar problem, and I can't seem to figure it out.  None of the animating light types/effects will work right.  Strobe, flicker, pulse, rotor, etc...  They work in the 3d window of the editor with realtime turned on, but as soon as I rebuild, they stop working.   Anyone know anything about it?

i checked the problem (someone of you or another :) ) wrote me concerning this problem. i think rws just didnt implement it.
at least i dont see a way to fix it.

Yeh, for fun I checked out the lighting effects with no result with torch or fire thing they don't work but the others do quite cool like.

You can get theam working, But you must edit some stuff.

In this small P2 map, Mista.X has put a very good spooky light-effect and sound-file that might be great for a Halloween map, especially for its ghostly rooms or whatever?

Btw, Oagh, did you ever get my P2/AW door-example map, with your Oagh Room, check-out? It might solve lots of newbie questions about doors and being able to copy those special Zone Portals meshes around them. (Ps, I did two types of portable Zone Portals with their doors and windows, below. But I got only two examples of your non-stick Oagh Doors from P2.)

You might also need those special Tn weapons for this map?
Because it was also supposed to be my "P2/AW/AW7/TN/etc Armory" map for lots of weaps to play with. :devil: (But heck, no worries mates, because you got some of the Gods of Postal, here, to help you through the rough stuff with this examples-map.)

No i dont think i did get it " P2/AW door-example map" or it was one of the maps i was missing some parts .to open it .
its kind of sad ,they only mods i have is ED, B)
But i dont have no more,I got AW Now B)
but ya ,I suck :(
But for as a "P2/AW/AW7/TN/etc Armory" map That would be a fun mod.
Ow i did /do have a moped mod on my pc ;) we know who made that B) .

Well, Oagh, you could work-out the needed details for that Doors-and-Stuff map, here? (My God, Wolve would be considered a Postal master at RWS.) And this small and quiet PNW group has all of the abilities of a mini Eternal Damnation group, you know! B)

And the importance of being able to easily "Copy and Paste" ready-made doors is pretty obvious with all of the questions that I have seen about it, over the years.

Plus, you know me, I couldn't resist making that map just a little dangerous, around the edges. (Just go into that first room, with the locked-gate, defeat the problem and then take a close look at those pictures in there, folks.) :devil:
* That P2 picture-trick was created for a haunted-house map, last year. *

Or simply hide behind the first table, for safety, put it in slow-motion, and then shoot the can on the ground and WATCH OUT, Dude! :lol:

But, please, do as you will. . .
I have another adult "universe" to explore and to help with my "little tricks".
